A Trip to Sebastian Inlet

Last Sunday we went on a beautiful outing to Sebastian Inlet. The Inlet  is approximately one hour south of Melbourne Florida. 

I know that I have been there fishing as a young girl but didn't remember going. We met up with old friends and it was an absolutely beautiful day! I highly recommend A visit.The campground was inexpensive and well-kept. The campgrounds name with Long Point Camp Ground.

On Safari to Cypress Lake & Wild America

Yesterday Alice and I went on a field trip to Cypress Lake. We went to a fairly new park called Wild Florida (http://wildfloridairboats.com). It is located in Kennesaw Florida , south of St. Cloud.
We went on an airboat ride, ate lunch, and then we looked around at all the animals. It was a wonderful day. Florida is a beautiful place and yesterday I was reminded why we live here.

On Safari to N. Ft. Meyers and St. Pete Beach

This week Alice and I went on a mini vacation. We headed out Monday to North Fort Meyers to visit family. The first evening we went out to dinner at "Joe's Crab Shack." It was a fun meal. We ate things we do not normally get. Fried calamari and shrimp.

The next day we visited a town called "Ave Maria." It is a town built around a catholic church. It was built by the owner of Dominos Pizza. There is a University there also. 

On Wednesday we decided to leave. We headed up the coast to the St. Pete beach area. We stopped before the sky bridge to check hotels.com for a room. 

We were amazing to book a room at the beautiful "Don Cesar." It is our favorite place!!!

(I booked the room for 1/4 of the price. Last minute get aways are perfect for finding just the right deals.)

On Safari to See "Zootopia"

Zootopia

This was a very cute movie. It was not hokey at all. It was about believing in yourself and having the determination to be all that you can be.

It's fun that it came out at Easter time. 

Yes it sounded like an advertisement lol. However, it was a very cute movie with action and laughter. 

I highly recommend it :)

On this Peaceful Morning

It's a cool 58 degrees here in Orlando, Florida. Yesterday it was 89. This weather swing is cause for a day outside, a long sleeve shirt and a lasagna cook off with an out if town guest this evening.

On Safari at The Coop

Tonight we had the privilege of going to a chef demonstration at The Coop in Winter Park Florida. Chef Whitney (season 1 winner of Master Chef) demonstrated craw fish mac & cheese with pemento, and white chocolate Benes. John Rivers the owner of the coop and 4 Rivers was there and was her sous chef. It was filled with fun stories and lots of laughs. We had a really great time.
